:: Shipping - Tracking


We dispatch all our products by Registered Air Mail provided by Swiss Post International. We post biweekly on Tuesday and Thursday so as to insure prompt service. This method of delivery is included in the $20.00 post & packing fee.
We’ve started posting from Dresden, Germany to the EC - - to prevent delays and extra charges.
Please write in Order 'EU shipping' under Comments if you want to make sure your watch is really shipped from germany and saving you the VAT and customs.

DHL: You can get your watch within 48 Hrs to almost any place on Earth for an additional $100.00 per order. These orders are completely traceable.


:: Warranty


We offer a two year warranty on all items purchased during and post 2001. A one year warranty is offered on all items purchase pre 2001. These warranties cover only manufacturing faults in the mechanism. Broken glass, dropped or clearly used watches are not covered. All watches are tested at least three times before they are sent out to you (factory, distribution, Zurich).

The 3133 chrono-movement has been carefully designed and manufactured to be an everyday tool. However, rough handling can damage the complex movement. To prevent this type of damage you simply must follow the instructions provided and exercise a little common sense. If these simple rules are followed your Poljot with will provide you with years of faithful service.

If your watch needs repair within the first years of ownership, we will have it repaired for you by a qualified Poljot specialist. The customer is only responsible for the cost of sending the watch to us. We always recommend you use an insured form of shipment. Subwave will cover the return postage costs. Always contact us before returning a watch. Also, always write "Montre cassée - Retour/ Broken watch - Return; Customs value = 0.00" on the customs slip. Seal your parcel well so that it does not open in transit.

If for some reason you manage to damage your out-of- warranty watch, we can have it repaired in Moscow. This service takes several weeks and costs around $50.00 plus postage. However, no real watch lover or collector has ever sent back a "broken" watch thus far..

If you send it back by courier (DHL, UPS, FedEx etc...) and expect us to pay (postage, VAT, customs) we will refuse it.

Watch bands are excluded from this warranty. This warranty does not cover damages due to misuse or neglect. You can E-mail us at info@poljot.ch or write at the address at the end of this page and receive a copy of this Limited Warranty.

CAUTION: NEVER use Poljot watches (3 ATM/5 ATM) under water! This includes swimming and showering - - ALWAYS take it off first! Only the 10 ATM models with screwed crowns are absolutely waterproof. Even then, use care and follow the provided instructions.

:: Repair / Return


When the watch is bought from us, the watch will be repaired free of charge within the first one or two years after purchase, depending on the warranty. If you caused the damage, however, a small fee will apply.

New watches are replaced directly when in-stock. All others must be sent to Moscow and it will take 6 - 8 weeks until you get them back.

We must be notified beforehand via E-mail of all returns. The postage is paid by the sender. On the customs slip you should write "Montre cassée - Retour/ Broken watch-Return". Also, seal your parcel well so that it does not open in transit.

Make sure to include the original Invoice/Warranty sheet/booklet - it is used to identify the watch and also to determine the return address.
Before you send a watch back make sure the watch is really broken !

We get many watches back which:
- must be wound up and they run ! (Some people still think there's a battery)
- 'are not keeping time well' : When the stopwatch is turned on for days the watch will gain or loose time. Chronofuntion is made for 30 min use max. !
- were used in diving expeditions although we warn strictly to get them in contact with water.

NEVER send watches back via Express Mail - we'll have to pay the VAT again and it produces unnecessary work to fetch it at the post office.
VERY IMPORTANT : declare 'back for repair; custom value 0.00' on sending for customs.

:: Prices


We have currently with VISA and American Express only contracts in Swiss Francs (CHF), so we must convert a $ amount to CHF at daily rate and SAFERPAY resp. the cardcompanies/ your bank will again convert at their current rate back to USD. This can produce a +- 1% pricedifference in your cereditcard billing. If the difference gets too big we can always credit the difference to the endprice in the order confirmation back to your card.

In general the prices of Aviator, Buran and other brands using POLJOT movements are compared to swiss brands (using often the same movements) unbeateable. Mechanical watches with ETA movements or handwind Chronos cost in general 5 - 10 times more. But its always worthwile to buy Russian Watches not in Auctions or at the cheapest dealer. Cheap prices always have a reason. Seller will vanish, quality is poor, no warranty can be provided.

A Poljot chronograph direct from the factory in Moscow costs $100.00 to $200.00. Postage, customs, many work hours, the office, rent of the server, commission to banks all add up. Also, include the fact that one out of ten watches must be replaced and sent to the customer again. All this effects the cost of a watch on the site. It would be unreasonable to think that you could get a Poljot watch of comparable quality for less anywhere else. We only sell genuine, first quality Poljot watches direct from the factory in Moscow.

Be Advised. There are many cheap replicas on the market. These may be made in the Orient or have a "reject" movement that did not meet the quality requirement for a genuine Poljot. We often have to advise people not to fall for the alluring prices of cheap online auctions or online retailers that provide no warranty whatsoever.

:: 21-Day Return Policy


We at :: subwave want you to be completely satisfied with you Poljot purchase.

If you are not satisfied with a product once you have received it you are often able to return it for an exchange or a refund. You are entitled to this if your item arrives broken or the actual item was different than that in the picture. However, this policy does not apply for frivolous returns, such as "I changed my mind" etc...

If you decided to send back your watch, please be well advised that we are not responsible for lost or damaged returns. We highly recommend you use an insured shipping method. Also note that the original cost of posting from Switzerland or Germany is not refundable.

When returning, be sure to send back the watch in new condition with the original packing material, watch box, instructions and any other documentation.
Caution: Credit card payment cancellation levies a $25.00 fee on the MULTICARDS system (not the Shoppingcart).



:: Privacy and Security Policy


We do not disclose the name, address, phone number or E-mail address of any of our customers to a third party. All CC orders are processed through a secure server that encrypts the entire transaction for you protection.


:: Post & Packing


Please allow 7 - 14 days for delivery of an in-stock item to a North American address. Often less for EU addresses. 2 - 4 weeks is standard for special order items. If we expect some sort of delay in processing your order you will be contacted with the option of accepting a longer delivery time or canceling the order.
You can have your items delivered anywhere on Earth for the standard posting fee of $20.00 per order. Therefore, it is advisable to order several watches together. We post everything by registered, insured Air Mail. Swiss Post has an excellent reliability record. Problems are exceedingly rare.
Please do NOT write E-mail’s asking about the status of your order. If any delay is expected we will notify you via E-mail.


:: Order Cancellation


You may cancel any order without penalty as long as your account has not been billed. This is useful in the event you ordered the wrong item or quantity. However, once your account has been billed a $25.00 cancellation fee is incurred. Our new partner SaferPay and the contracts with Amexco, Mastercard and Visa have no such cancellation fee but we'll keep $15 for our work (processing, preparation). When using the Shopping cart system your transaction will be made with SaferPay.com.
